Park High Students Enter UKMT Junior Maths Challenge
UKMT Junior Maths Challenges are aimed at students year 8 and below. Starting with the Junior Maths Challenge, then with Kangaroo and Olympiad as follow-on rounds, these are designed to challenge and engage students. The challenge is a 60 minute, 25 multiple choice Challenge. It encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency to make students think. The recent participation of Key Stage 3 students in the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) has been a resounding success, showcasing the remarkable talent and dedication of our students.
We are delighted to announce the outstanding achievements of our students who participated in the UKMT Junior Maths Challenge. A total of 88 students from Year 7 and Year 8 took part, with 27 certificates awarded in Year 7 and 21 in Year 8. While every participant contributed to the school's success, there were standout performances that deserve special recognition, among them, Rushi Tank from Year 7 achieved the highest score in the school, achieving a gold certificate and advancing to the follow-up round. In Year 8, Alek Liu and Dhrish Vekaria emerged as top scorers in their year group with a gold certificate. Below is the list of all students who received a certificate.
