The day began at the Old Bailey, where students had the unique opportunity to sit in the public gallery and observe a current trial. This experience provided them with first-hand insight into the processes and roles within the criminal justice system.

In the afternoon, students participated in a mock trial at the Royal Courts of Justice, organized by the National Justice Museum. The roles were distributed as follows:

• Defence Barristers: Kaito and Suhail
• Prosecution Barristers: Helal and Sophia
• Solicitors: Lus, Muna, and Sohrab
• Witnesses: Ekraan, Suweyda, Vinuk, Mitali, Raihan, and Dhruve
• Jury Members: Sana, Rhianna, Jack, Yahya, Aysha, Weqas, Diya, and Taasha

The students' preparation for the case was outstanding, with both the Defence and Prosecution presenting compelling arguments. Initially, the jury was hung, reflecting the persuasive nature of the arguments from both sides. Ultimately, a non-guilty verdict was reached, marking a close and engaging conclusion to the mock trial.

This trip provided invaluable practical experience to our students, enhancing their understanding of the criminal justice system and the complexities of legal proceedings.
