Duke of Edinburgh Awards Ceremony
The Duke of Edinburgh Awards Ceremony held on March 26th, honoring the remarkable achievements of our participants who completed the Bronze and Silver Awards. With 33 individuals successfully achieving the Bronze Award and 7 students attaining the Silver Award, which is a testament to their dedication and perseverance.
These participants committed themselves to various activities over the course of 3, 6, or 12 months, including volunteering, physical activities, and learning new skills. They then embarked on a two-day and one night camp, for the Bronze expedition, and a three-day two-night camp, for the Silver expedition; which was all planned by participants themselves. As well as planning the walk the participants also had to provide and cook all their own food during the expedition, showcasing their leadership and organisational skills.
The journey wasn't without its challenges, as sore feet and navigational hiccups tested their resilience. However, through teamwork and unwavering support for one another, they overcame these obstacles with grace and determination. This experience undoubtedly instilled invaluable qualities such as resilience, teamwork, and compassion, shaping them into well-rounded individuals. The Certificate of Achievement recognises our students dedication to the programme and everything they have achieved throughout. It can be added to their CV or personal statement, helping highlight the many skills and useful experiences they have gained.
A special acknowledgement to Sam Bashir, whose outstanding commitment throughout his Duke of Edinburgh journey is commendable. Not only did he successfully complete both the Bronze and Silver Awards, but he also extended his support to Miss Wakeman and Ms Ward in Duke of Edinburgh training, embodying the spirit of leadership and mentorship.
Congratulations to all the participants for their exceptional accomplishments, and may this ceremony serve as a memorable milestone in their journey of personal growth and development.
