Park High Recognised as Partner School with St. John's College, Oxford
Park High School has been officially recognised as a partner school with St. John’s College, Oxford. This remarkable milestone is the result of the hard work, diligence, and drive for excellence displayed by our Year 10 Inspire learners. The partnership has been established through the prestigious St. John's Inspire Programme, which nurtures students with exceptional potential, encouraging them to aim high and stretch themselves academically. The programme helps students build the confidence to make well-founded applications to top universities like Oxford.
Participating in Inspire lessons has given students the chance to challenge themselves in various disciplines. They explored diverse topics, from examining the nature of belief and experimenting with videogame coding, to creating technical drawings of buildings. A memorable highlight of the year was an educational trip to the Science Museum, where students enjoyed a Question and Answer session with a museum employee, deepening their curiosity and learning.
Mrs O’Dwyer, Headteacher, said: “Our school community is very proud of the fantastic work that our Year 10 Inspire learners have completed over the past academic year. We look forward to even greater academic successes and more awards in the future. A huge congratulations to our students and heartfelt thanks to their parents for their unwavering support in this fantastic endeavour”.
