Sixth Formers Raise Funds for Suicide Prevention Week

We are thrilled to celebrate the fantastic efforts of our sixth form students, who recently organised a highly successful fundraiser in support of Suicide Prevention Week. The students came together to raise awareness for this crucial cause and dedicated their time and energy to raise funds for PAPYRUS. PAPYRUS is the leading national charity focused on preventing young suicide and promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people.

On Friday, 27th September, the students wore pink and blue to show solidarity and create a vibrant atmosphere for the event. Through their teamwork and dedication, they raised an impressive £255.30 by selling delicious cookies and other baked treats to their peers and teachers. This heartwarming event was a true reflection of our school’s values of teamwork and compassion, with everyone contributing to its success.

We are incredibly proud of our sixth formers for their commitment to this vital cause, and we extend our gratitude to everyone who supported their efforts!

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please speak to someone you trust, such as our school counsellor, or reach out to PAPYRUS through their HOPELINE247 service. HOPELINE247 is a free, confidential service available 24/7, including weekends and bank holidays:

The helpline is staffed by trained suicide prevention advisers, who are available to support young people and anyone concerned about a young person, helping to keep them safe from suicide.
