Park High Raises £873 for BBC Children in Need

During the week of 11 November 2024, Park High School came together to support BBC Children in Need, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people across the UK. The organisation funds nearly 1,500 charities and projects, benefiting over 400,000 children annually.

Our fundraising efforts included a variety of fun activities during break and lunchtime, such as:

  • How Many Sweets in a Jar? Competition
  • Spot the Pudsey Competition
  • Bearpeas Challenge
  • Doughnut Sale
  • Drawathon: Best Poster of Pudsey Competition
  • Selling official Pudsey merchandise

On Friday, 15 November, staff embraced the theme by wearing spots whilst collecting donations.

Congratulations to our competition winners:

  • How Many Sweets in a Jar: Elliyah (7AW), who guessed just one away with 264!
  • Find Pudsey Posters: Layla (8SW).

Thanks to the generosity of students, parents, and staff, we raised an incredible £873.28. This contribution will help change the lives of children and young people facing disadvantage in communities across the UK.

Special thanks to our Charity Champions Anaiya (11PW), Keeya (11PW), Sara (8SL), Mahi (8AY) and Mr Appleman who worked tirelessly to make this week a success.

Thank you to everyone who donated and participated in making our Children in Need fundraising week a memorable one. Together, we’ve made a difference!
