A Week of Celebration and Reflection: Autumn Celebration Assemblies 2024​​​​​​

Last week, each Year group gathered to celebrate our annual Autumn Celebration Assemblies. These assemblies offered us a unique opportunity to reflect on the term’s achievements and growth, as well as celebrate the hard work, dedication, and successes of our students. Each moment highlighted the strength of our school community, and the character virtues that defines us.

Throughout the week, each year group held its own assembly, featuring awards that recognised excellence in various categories, including tutor awards, subject awards, attendance awards, and the prestigious Headteacher and Head of Year awards.

Headteacher Award Winners

We are thrilled to spotlight the exceptional students who received the coveted Headteacher Awards. These individuals embody the Park High vision, ethos, and character virtues, demonstrating excellence both inside and outside the classroom.

Year 11

  • Aditya (11PW): He embodies not only the Park High vison, ethos and character virtues, but he goes above and beyond inside and outside the classroom. It was fantastic to see his bubbly personality on the history trip and his politeness never goes unnoticed. He has been a brilliant prefect so far.
  • Deborah (11TI): She is a polite, hardworking and curious young lady who always strives for perfection. Deborah goes above and beyond the criteria for this award yet is always modest. Her confidence has grown in the role of a prefect and her willingness to help others never goes unnoticed.

Year 10

  • Mahi (10JE): This young lady is an exceptional student. She has a politeness and professionalism in her academic activities and teacher interactions that makes her a delight to teach and talk to. She has consistently demonstrated the Park virtues and always is in the top 10 students for engagement in lessons. She has the most Character Point in the year group and is active in the school musical productions.
  • Nikhil (10AG): This young man is an exceptional student. Although quiet he is one of the highest academically performing students in the year group. He demonstrates focus and determination in his learning. He was the most nominated student for subject awards. He has outstanding attendance and punctuality. He is a credit to his tutor group and this year group.

Year 9

  • Bianca (9WN): This student participated and represented our school in different extra-curricular activities, such as The Ofsted Student Voice. She is someone who has consistently demonstrated the qualities that make them a standout member of our school community. She has a “can do” attitude and is a role model to others in the Year group. She goes above and beyond both inside and outside of the classroom. The school journey is not always easy, but you have handled it with grace and determination. Keep the amazing work and enjoy every moment of this achievement!
  • Dharmil (9SC): This student joined us in Year 8 and has completely embraced the Park High School community. He has consistently demonstrated our Park High School virtues and values. This award is not only a statement of the hard work and talent, but also a reflection of the passion and dedication that this student puts into everything that he does. Your hard work has led to this amazing achievement. You are a truly successful individual who is a shining example of creativity and passion for our students.

Year 8

  • Antonia (8AY): Antonia is always striving to be the very best she can be, she is a student who is compassionate, resilient and respectful. She shows pride in her appearance and her books are all well-presented and is a role model to her peers as a Year 8 Form Captain. Antonia shows curiosity and integrity in and out of the classroom and embodies all our Character Virtues.
  • Krish (8ND): Krish is always striving to be the very best he can be, this was evident in his recent table tennis tournament. He is a student that shows compassion to others and displays great teamwork. He has shown resilience during his Aim Higher sessions and is curious about his own learning, a role model to his peers as a Year 7 Form Captain. Krish embodies all our Character Virtues.

Year 7

  • Beatrice (7JR): This young lady has stood out since her very first week at school. She has demonstrated a vibrant personality, a genuine passion for learning, and an enthusiastic willingness to participate in all aspects of school life. She has fully immersed herself in the Park High community, embodying the core values of compassion, teamwork, resilience, curiosity, and integrity. Her commitment is reflected in her outstanding attendance and punctuality, as well as her remarkable achievement of earning over 100-character points.
  • Hamza (7FF): This student has made outstanding achievements in both sports and academics have been truly outstanding. He has shown an incredible drive to improve and grow, consistently striving to be the best version of himself. His punctuality, attendance, attitude to learning, and behaviour have all been exemplary. He always goes to class ready to engage. While in sport he has demonstrated resilience and integrity. It’s clear that he not only focused on his personal success but also on making a positive impact on those around him.
Head of Year Award Winners

Our Head of Year awards also celebrated students who have made outstanding contributions to their year groups, setting positive examples through their actions and attitudes.

Year 11 – Miss Daler

  • Shaurya (11IA): Shaurya is a role model within the year group who always strives to be the best version of himself. This year he earnt the role of a Prefect and has worked tirelessly in his lessons. Shaurya is always polite, compassionate and I am very proud of him.
  • Aminah (11BG): Aminah is an incredibly polite and hardworking student who has earnt the role of a prefect in Year 11. Her smile around the school does not go unnoticed, alongside her hard work in lessons. Aminah is a role model within the Year group that I am incredibly proud of.

Year 10 – Mr. Fowler

  • Diya (10LY): This young lady as an exemplary student. One who is a delight to teach. She demonstrates active engagement with a desire to always better herself. A kind person, considerate of her peers and teacher. She has demonstrated outstanding attendance, punctuality, and attitude to learning. She is in the top 10 for most engaged in the year group. And a fine member of the School Council.
  • Dhruv (10AG): This young is once again an exemplary student. In particular in sport. One comment I got about him from a teacher was that he knew the answer to every question about sporting rules. He has a good nature. He has outstanding attendance and punctuality as well as 25-character points. He is always polite and determined, a credit to his tutor group. He is the number 2 in the best behaviour.

Year 9 – Ms. Campbell

  • Alec (9BA): Alec is an early bird who starts each day with enthusiasm, he sets a positive tone for others. His kind heart and warm smile brightens the corridors, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment. Beyond the classroom, Alec represents our school with pride and determination in sporting competitions, showcasing teamwork and resilience. His dedication, cheerful demeanor, and ability to inspire those around him makes him a true role model.
  • Thisumi (9AM): Thisumi has overcame every challenge with dedication and perseverance and her determination, hard work and passion have been paid off. This achievement is a testament to your unwavering commitment to your learning as well as others around you. This accomplishment is a testament to your abilities and serves as inspiration to all who have witnessed your journey at Park. Keep up the amazing work as you continue to inspire others around you and may this award be the first of many more successes!

Year 8 – Miss Acheampong

  • Maria (8TP): Maria has shown significant improvements in her determination to succeed. She strives to do well in and out of class. Maria is a well-liked student, both amongst her peers and staff. She is a student who shows compassion to those around her.
  • Luis (8FT): Luis is a student who consistently aims to do his best in his learning. He is a role model to his peers and is well liked around the school. Luis is a respectful, kind and polite individual.

Year 7 – Mr. Asamany

  • Katie (7HG): What stands out most about this student, is how consistently she has displayed the core virtues we hold dear at Park High. Whether it’s stepping up to help a classmate in need or sharing your unique perspective, you’ve never hesitated to show your true personality and make a positive impact on those around you.
  • Darius (7MO): This student since day one has been setting a positive example for his peers and embodying the qualities of a great leader. His hard work and positive attitude have not gone unnoticed by his teachers, as reflected in the impressive number of achievement points he has earned. He is a shining example of what it means to be dedicated, authentic, and driven.

We are so proud of all students who actively worked towards being the best version of themselves. The assemblies were not just about the awards but also about the support and community spirit that define our school. The cheers and applause from students, celebrating each other's achievements, showcased the kindness and respect that make Park High special.

As we look back on this term, we take pride in the challenges overcome, the lessons learned, and the milestones achieved. With parents’ continued support and staff’s dedication, we look forward to celebrating even more successes in 2025.
