Park High School’s Electrifying Production of Grease
Our wonderful students and the Performing Arts Department brought the magic of Rydell High to life with a spectacular production of Grease, performed over five outstanding shows, including special matinee performances for local primary schools and the entire Year 7 cohort. The legendary show – with music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey – was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and a whole lot of ‘greased lightning,’ and was met with rapturous applause and standing ovations from delighted audiences.
The talented students, under the expert direction of the Performing Arts Faculty, dazzled with show-stopping musical numbers, stunning choreography, and pitch-perfect performances. Every cast and crew member poured their heart and soul into making Grease an unforgettable experience for all.
Mrs Molloy, Head of the Performing Arts Faculty, expressed her pride in the students, saying: “It has been an absolute joy to see our students embrace their roles with such passion and dedication. From the lively dance numbers to the heartfelt solos, they have truly embodied the spirit of Grease. The hard work they have put in over the last few months has paid off, and I couldn’t be prouder of what they have accomplished.”
Headteacher Mrs O’Dwyer also applauded the efforts of the production team and students, stating: “The talent, teamwork, and enthusiasm on display in this production have been exceptional. Park High School continues to nurture creativity and excellence in the arts, and this show has been a testament to the commitment and energy of both students and staff. It has been a joy to see our school community come together to support such a brilliant production.”
The production’s success is a testament to the dedication and creativity of our thriving Performing Arts Department which was recently awarded Arts Mark Gold, one of only 5 schools in London to achieve this honor.
A massive congratulations to everyone who took part—whether on stage or behind the scenes – you truly were ‘born to hand jive!’
