Global Citizen Club badge design
At Park High, the ‘Global Citizen’ club takes place every Tuesday lunch time in H2. The aim of the club is to encourage young people to develop the knowledge, skills and values they need to engage with the world and supports the belief we can all make a difference. This extra-curricular club links with the Park High School character trait COMPASSION. Global Citizens regularly discuss topics such as reducing poverty, climate change, protecting the planet, war and conflict around the world, human rights and much more.
A very big congratulations to Jack Chadha in 7DB who is one of the global Citizens at Park High. His badge design was chosen out of 16 entries as the winning design for the Global Citizen badge. The DT department have now made his design into badges the Global Citizens can wear. Thank you to our school DT department for kindly producing these.
The Global Citizens have been working in small groups on separate campaigns. Currently, they are organising a food bank collection, plastic pollution reduction scheme and also a board games café for students in school. They will be organising a whole school karaoke competition in the run up to Comic Relief in March and a Treasure Hunt activity. If you are interested in joining the Global Citizen Club please feel free to come along Tuesday lunch time in H2.
